BLUEPRINT FOR BUSINESS SUCCESS _____________________________________ Video Marketing for Small Business: Using Videos to Engage Customers and Facilitate Growth, Simple Steps for Beginners Date: Tuesday, November 16, 2021 Time: 12 P.M. – 1 P.M. Location: Zoom Register: Here Cost: Free to attend Everyone is online: from young children to seniors, most everyone has a smartphone, tablet, or streaming device. Video is the most popular medium on social media. Each year more and more businesses create social media accounts and use these platforms to promote and engage their customers. Video can be intimidating. How can I make a video that doesn’t look like it belongs on America’s Funniest Videos? It is a lot simpler than you may think. All it takes is a smartphone or DSLR camera, tripod, and editing software. I will show you how to take these three items and create short informative videos to engage, educate, and grow your consumer base. There are many types of videos you can use to benefit your business: short interviews with employees, customer testimonies, go-live at an event showcasing your surroundings, thank customers by showing appreciation, or show employees participating in community service (food drives, firefighter donations, etc.) Once you have shot your video (using your smartphone), you piece it together with a user-friendly editing software (iMovie, Adobe Premier, Hitfilm Express). Once the video is exported it can be uploaded to your website, across all media platforms, and the URL can be shared via email to your customers. Key takeaways: • Anyone can make a video • 95% of a message customers see in a video remains with them (brid.tv research) • Be authentic. You connect with consumers when you are yourself, and they can relate. Presenter: Jessica Nelson is the Public Information Officer for Montana Department of Labor & Industry. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and ten years of experience in media communications. Her background includes radio broadcast and television broadcast: both news and marketing.
