The Big Sky Reining Classic hosted by the Montana Reining Horse Association is the largest reining horse show in the Northwest. Pros and non-pros come from a number of states as well as provinces in Canada to compete in what is arguably one of the most difficult of equine sports. It is one of the only equine sports which is gender and age neutral. Participants of all ages and abilities compete. The show also provides riders with disabilities to enter in the para-reining competition classes.  Reining is becoming more and more popular since it is now an Olympic sport and featured on the popular television series “Yellowstone.” The show helps to preserve the unique heritage of Montana and promotes exceptional horsemanship.
