Description
A man has been murdered! After a night on the town drinking with a group of demobilized soldiers, former U.S. soldier Joseph Samuels (Sam Levene) is found dead in his hotel room. Suspicious of the soldiers, Police Capt. Finlay (Robert Young) and Sgt. Peter Keeley (Robert Mitchum) must untangle the events of the evening, revealing the identity of a killer as well as hidden secrets and betrayal among comrades.
Will Finlay be able to catch the killer and figure out just why they wanted to end Samuels' life, or like a loaded gun, will hate and distrust continue to spread as more unfortunate souls risk being snuffed out before it's case closed?
Crossfire is a crime noir film that received critical acclaim, but a somewhat mixed reception for its depiction of crime and prejudice among servicemen. It was written by John Paxton and Richard Brooks and directed by Edward Dmytryk.
Admission and popcorn are free, with soda, water, beer, and wine available for purchase. Seating is provided, but guests are welcome to bring their own cushions or chairs for added comfort.
