Visitors will tour the largest Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) plant under one roof in North America which showcases state of the art technology and Weyerhaeuser’s dedicated workforce. The plant uses residual wood fiber which is refined and processed into engineered wood products used across North America. These include specialty products I niche markets such as architectural doors, cabinets, engineered wood flooring, store fixtures, and office furniture. At Weyerhaeuser MDF, teams work to reliably lead the industry in safety, quality, service, and financial results, while developing their people and supporting local communities. Employees serve on local advisory committees for Weyerhaeuser’s Giving Fund and development funding priorities with four focus areas to support and meet unique needs in local communities. Closed toe shoes required. No loose-fitting clothing. Long pants required. Ages 5th grade and up for the tour.
