‘It’s a Mad Mad Mad World’ at NW MT History Museums Movie Night at the Museum

Tuesday, November 25, 2025 (7:00 PM - 9:00 PM) (MST)

Description

A mysterious driver dead on the highway; $350,000; and a no holds barred race to the treasure. This is the premise of Northwest Montana History Museum’s November “Movie Night at the Museum” showing: It’s a Mad Mad Mad World (1963). The delightful comedy shows the race of several travelers to treasure after dying criminal Smiler Grogan (Jimmy Durante) reveals to them the location of $350,000 he had stolen. Thus follows a dramatic and comedic series of events as each individual tries to make it to the treasure first. Little do they know, they’re not the only ones after it. Captain Culpeper (Spencer Tracy), a policeman who has been investigating Grogan’s crimes, is hot on the trail of the travelers with hopes of wrapping up his investigation. Who will be the first person to reach the money? Join us on Tuesday, November 25 at “Movie Night at the Museum” to find out!

The screening will take place in the Swanberg Classroom at the Northwest Montana History Museum, 124 Second Ave. E., Kalispell. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the movie will start at 7 p.m. Prescreening educational remarks will be provided by host Jacob Thomas. Admission and popcorn are free, with soda, water, beer, and wine available for purchase. Seating is provided, but guests are welcome to bring their own cushions or chairs for added comfort. We hope to see you there!
