Description

The Northwest Montana History Museum presents the 1951 psychological thriller Strangers on a Train for it’s July “Movie Night at the Museum”. The film will be shown in the Swanberg classroom on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, and will include prescreening educational remarks provided by host Jacob Thomas.

Directed by the famous “Master of Suspense”, Alfred Hitchcock, and adapted from the novel by Patricia Highsmith, Strangers on a Train depicts the tumultuous relationship between tennis star Guy Haines (Farley Granger) and psychotic socialite Bruno Antony (Robert Walker) as they decide to trade murders. Disaster ensues when Bruno completes his end of the bargain, and expects Guy to do the same. What follows is a chilling descent into obsession and psychological terror, with a climax that will leave you wanting more. Listed as one of the best films of 1951 and winning best picture of the month, this film will have you on the edge of your seat and is an event you do not want to miss.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the screening will begin at 7 p.m. at the Northwest Montana History Museum, 124 Second Ave. E., Kalispell. Admission and popcorn are free.
