The Northwest Montana History Museum’s “Movie Night at the Museum” returns for the fall with a showing of Time Bandits (1981). This film centers around Kevin (Craig Warnock), a young boy fascinated by history who gets thrown into a time-traveling adventure! When six dwarves burst into his room in the middle of the night with a map charting holes in the fabric of time, he has no choice but to join them. Little does he know that they’re on a hunt to steal treasure from various time periods, while the Supreme Being, who they stole the map from, is hot on their trails! Their adventures will lead to encounters with famous figures throughout history such as Robin Hood, Napolean, and King Agamemnon. With themes of imagination, adventure, and touches of history, this whimsical adventure is fun for the whole family!
Join us on September 23 at the Northwest Montana History Museum, 124 Second Ave. E., Kalispell. This showing will take place in the Swanberg Classroom and will kick off with some educational remarks provided by host Jacob Thomas. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the movie begins at 7 p.m. Admission and popcorn are free, with soda, water, beer, and wine available for purchase.
