Building a workplace culture that supports mental health & reducing stigma to attract and retain top performing employees as an Employer of Choice.


The past two years have been challenging personally and professionally for businesses and their employees. We will VentureBOLDLY and tackle the issue of mental health issues in the workplace. Attendees will here straight talk about how they can improve company culture to address the tough issues we know exist today and will become more prevalent as we recover from the pandemic and its stresses.

Josh Kroll - VP of Marketing & Business Development, Park Side Credit UnionTwo years ago with the onset of the Pandemic, Park Side Financial Credit Union made it a priority to support and address the needs of their employees during this challenging, scary, and tumultuous time. Josh will share how they have been working on their company culture and environment to be an "Employer of Choice" to retain and attract top talent.

Josh has been with Park Side since 2009 and works in brand and culture management, advertising, promotions, community presence.

Kacy Howard, Executive Director, Nate Chute Foundation will address suicide in the workplace and guide us through employer’s role in prevention, signals and support.  Kacy Howard was born and raised in the Flathead Valley.  After earning her Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education, Kacy taught English internationally in South Africa before returning to the Flathead.  Upon returning to Montana, Kacy found her true passion working in community mental health. After 10 years working in the children’s mental health system, Kacy transitioned to Executive Director at the Nate Chute Foundation in 2017.  Kacy is a certified instructor in a suite of best practice suicide prevention curricula and is a nationally certified school suicide prevention specialist through the American Association of Suicidology. In her free time, Kacy enjoys skiing, rafting, and traveling with her family.


Ronda Wakefield, HR Consultant, NW MT HR Solutions, LLC  Focused on providing individualized Human Resource support to organizations without a dedicated HR department, as well as collaboration and partnerships with established HR departments. Anything HR related: Handbooks to Employee Engagement Surveys, Recruiting and On-boarding to Conflict Management, Interviewing to Performance Management, and everything in between!


Ronda will share how small shifts and honest, simple communications can result in cultures that can have meaningful affects on our employees mental health, productivity, and longevity.
