When a struggling, emotionally dysregulated child is unable to maintain in the family, school, and community, a nurturing, family-like atmosphere can be the best setting for stabilization and treatment. Providence Home provides professional, integrated, intermediate residential care adapted for the individual needs of each child. The focus is first stabilizing the child and family and then providing a holistic, attainable pathway to improved functioning.

The Support Counselor provides a variety of professional direct care services to children at an entry level with supervision, guidelines, direction, support and training from the treatment team. The Support Counselor participates in the maintenance of a therapeutic milieu according to each child’s treatment plan and agency philosophy.

The above knowledge, skills and abilities are typically acquired through two (2) years related work experience. Graduation from an accredited college or university with an associates or bachelor’s degree in a social science or closely-related field is preferred. Requires a valid Montana driver’s license.

This position is Full time with Benefits

Salary DOE, Starting Wage: $12.94 per hour + $80.00 a pay period for Interim Adjustment Pay .  Hours are mainly weekends and evenings . Additional shift differential of $1.00/hour for evening and weekend hours worked and $1.50/hour for overnight hours worked.  An example of some of the benefits offered include: health insurance, retirement plan, and a rich personal leave benefit.
