SUMMARY:Northwest Montana History Museum Movie Night
DESCRIPTION:Shiftless George Newman ("Weird Al" Yankovic) is aimlessly stumbling through life and work\, his daydreams left unsatisfied and yearning for more. But is he ready for the challenge after a risky bet in a poker game lands him in the position of managing Channel 62\, a UHF television station on its last legs?To boost ratings\, George and his friend Bob Steckler (David Bowe) create wacky new programs to fill the schedule and compete with rival station Channel 8. Will George and Bob be able to handle their newfound success while battling bookie debts and a lovers' quarrel\, or will they break under the pressure while Channel 8 reigns supreme?UHF was written by Yankovic\, Jay Levey\, and Charles Holloway\, and directed by Levey. Though UHF may have received a mixed reception upon its release\, it remains a cult classic today. The Northwest Montana History Museum brings the past alive through exhibits\, artifacts\, educational programs\, and events. Regular museum hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays\, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays through August\, at 124 Second Ave. E.\, Kalispell. nwmthistory.org\; 406-756-8381
